Best for those who shower, this gel relieves itching, restores the skin’s barrier and prevents moisture loss. Suitable for infants, children and adults, it gently cleanses even irritated skin.
Trixera+ Emollient Cleansing Bath: with similar ingredients as the Cleansing Gel, this product is best for those who bathe. This well-tolerated daily skin treatment helps control itching, redness, inflammation and dryness associated with atopic or sensitive skin.
Trixera+ Emollient Balm: for atopic, severely dry skin or eczema, this ultra-rich balm goes on wonderfully smooth and works in perfect combination with the Cleansing Gel or Cleansing Bath. Containing a trio of essential fatty acids and anti-inflammatory ingredients, Emollient Balm calms redness and irritation, relieves itching and restores the skin’s barrier. Those with itchy, red skin have said this product has helped relieve their symptoms before having to resort to medications.
Trixera+ Emollient Cream: for atopic, severely dry skin or eczema, the Emollient Cream is designed to be used as a daily skin cream to help nourish, restore the skin barrier, soothe irritation and reduce skin hypersensitivity. Use it daily to prevent the occurrence of dry skin problems.
Cold Cream Hand Cream: this is a very tolerable, rich and non-greasy hand cream that has been clinically proven to last through 10 hand washings. Offering intense hydration to relieve dry, chapped skin, it is a favorite of Dr. Schlesinger and the staff at DLCC. Also useful for dry, cracked heels and elbows, it is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (won’t cause acne).
Cold Cream Lip Balm: for dry, cracked or chapped lips, this is the product to use. Containing sucralfate, Vitamins E and F as well as the Avene Cold Cream formula, this product leaves a rich, protective coating on the lips. Remaining on the lips for 8 hours, it provides antioxidant protection and is also useful for patients on acne medication such as isotretinoin. Tip: remember to also use an SPF 15 or greater sunscreen on the lips for additional protection.
Redness Relief Soothing Cream: this product is included in many of our red skin regimens for patients with flushing, persistent skin redness, rosacea, dilated (enlarged) blood vessels and bumps or pimples. Also useful for burning, stinging or flushing, this unique formulation uses a combination of anti-inflammatory botanicals and sunscreen to clinically improve skin redness while protecting the skin with an SPF 25 sunscreen.
S.O.S Kit: the Avene S.O.S. kit is primarily used after cosmetic and laser procedures here at Dermatology & Laser Center of Charleston. Not only does the kit soothe the sensitive skin commonly seen after procedures, but it speeds recovery time. Tip: keep the kit around so that in the event of future facial skin irritation that may include and acne breakout or sunburn, this kit can help your skin recover faster while improving its appearance and feel.
