Lori J. Wrightington
Clinical Laser Technician and Skin Care Therapist

Lori Wrightington, our certified Clinical Laser Technician and Skin Care Therapist became a member of the Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston team in July of 2005. Lori grew up in Connecticut and is proud to have relocated to the Low Country. She is an alumnus of Southern Connecticut State University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts. Additionally she studied abroad and earned a certificate of studies from the Universita di Urbino in Urbino, Italy.

Lori has been working in the field of Dermatology under the direct supervision of Dr. Schlesinger and assists both him and Rebecca Repaire, PA-C in general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Having received extensive hands on training with Dr. Schlesinger and Becky in all aspects of Dermatology and Cosmetic treatments, Lori specializes in clinically assisting Dr. Schlesinger in Mohs Surgery, a specific type of micrographic surgery for the removal of different types of skin carcinoma. Lori continues to further her expertise and skin care training through continuing education classes, courses and webinars in dermatological and cosmetic surgery and cosmeceuticals.

Clinically certified by the Candela Corporation – the manufacturers of the GentleYag and GentleLase family of lasers – Lori completed certification and didactic training under the direct supervision of a Candela training expert. The application of these laser treatments includes hair removal, skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, removal of vascular lesions and pigmentation.

Palomar Medical was the winner of the Professional Choice Awards category for lasers and IPL equipment. Lori received additional certification, education and didactic training with Palomar Medical and has clinical expertise in the application of Intense Pulse Light Treatments. These services are now being offered for fractional laser resurfacing, fractional surgical free skin tightening, photofacial applications for the removal of brown spots and sun damage and the treatment of acne and rosacea. Lori has made this cosmeceutical care her area of specialty expertise. Proficient in Vibraderm treatments to all body areas, Lori has been clinically certified by the manufacturers of the Vibradermabrasion equipment as well.

Since relocating to Charleston with her family, Lori has been an active member of the Carolina Lady Anglers Club, a non profit group who’s Fishing for the Cure for Breast Cancer Tournament makes annual donations to the Charleston Breast Center, the Hollings Cancer Center and other local beneficiaries. Lori also contributes time volunteering for various causes including the South Carolina Maritime Foundation. She is also an active parent volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America and the Charleston School of the Arts

Lori prides herself in having a professional demeanor as well as an outgoing personality that makes patients feel right at home.

 
Molly B. Kister
Licensed Massage Therapist and Skin Care Therapist

Molly Kister, a Charleston based licensed massage therapist, became a member of the Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston team in August of 2007 joining Lori as our newest skin care therapist. Molly grew up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania but quickly came south four years ago when her family relocated. As a graduate of the Charleston School of Massage on James Island,she studied many modalities includingtechniques in deep tissue, neuromuscular, aromatherapy and eastern studies. Recently, Molly has furthered her interest in bodywork by returning to Trident Technical Collegeearning her Esthetics license. Her specific interests are in chemical exfoliations and anti-aging treatments.

Upon completion of the Esthetics program at Trident in August, Molly received graduation honors appearing on the Dean’s List. She was also the Vice-President of the school’s skin care club, Novo Derma, where she contributed to raising nearly $3000.00. Proceeds were disbursed towards an International Spa Conference and a donation to the fallen fire fighters, The Charleston 9. Working as a licensed massage therapist for the last three years her expertise was developed during treatment work in a chiropractor’s office while at the same time performing esthetic services at a dayspa on Kiawah Island. Having extensive knowledge and experience in deep tissuetreatments, she has complimented these skills with proficiency in various body treatments including full body scrubs and body wraps for every skin type. Molly has also trained under Charles Wiltsie who is the founder of Lypossage®, an intense modality that helps take inches off your body and reduces the appearance of cellulite by combining deep tissue and lymphatic drainage modalities. She furthered her didactic skills during training with Benny Vaughn, the founder of sports massage. This knowledge solidified her proficiency with stretching dynamics and she has incorporated this technique into her treatments. In addition to her many clinical skills, Molly has also received expert training in make-up consultation and application.

Since moving to Charleston Molly has enjoyed becoming an active member in the Big Brother Big Sister Program. Originally trained in Early Childhood Development, she has excelled in mentoring disadvantaged youth. Other interests include singing in the choir at her church, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Molly prides herself in having a very professional attitude and always delivering exceptional customer service. We are proud to have her as the newest member of our staff and are pleased to invite you to schedule your next massage or esthetic service with her.
