Lori J. Wrightington

Certified Laser Technician and Media Spa Manager

Lori Wrightington, our certified Clinical Laser Technician and Skin Care Therapist became a member of the Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston team in July of 2005. Lori grew up in Connecticut and is proud to have relocated to the Low Country. She is an alumnus of Southern Connecticut State University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts. Additionally she studied abroad and earned a certificate of studies from the Universita di Urbino in Urbino, Italy.

Lori has been working in the field of Dermatology for over seven years under the direct supervision of Dr. Schlesinger assisting him in general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. In addition to her certified clinical training, Lori received extensive hands on training with Dr. Schlesinger in all aspects of Dermatology and Cosmetic treatments, including a variety of didactic and hands on laser training, Lori is extremely proficient in performing any type of laser service. Lori also specializes in clinically assisting Dr. Schlesinger in Mohs Surgery, a specific type of micrographic surgery for the removal of different types of skin carcinoma. Lori is able to combine her own education and experience with Dr. Schlesinger to better serve the needs of our dermatological and cosmetic practice. Lori continues to further her expertise and skin care training through continuing education classes, courses and webinars in dermatological and cosmetic surgery and cosmeceuticals. In 2010, Lori was invited to attend Cosmetic Bootcamp in Colorado Springs, CO under the tutelage of Dr. Kenneth Beer, renowned dermatologist and founder of Cosmetic Bootcamp. Lori joins DLCC in giving much credit to her laser education to Rebecca Repaire PA-C whom for 6 years was fundamental in her training. At present, Lori has the pleasure of treating many patients referred to her from providers throughout the Low Country.

Clinically certified by the Candela Corporation – the manufacturers of the GentleYag and GentleLase family of lasers Lori completed certification and didactic training under the direct supervision of Candela training experts. Lori received additional training and certification on the Candela Vbeam Perfecta. All of the Candela lasers feature the latest in advanced micro-pulse technology, multiple handpieces for treating various spot sizes, and the newest innovative Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD). This cooling system all but eliminates patient downtime. The application of these laser treatments includes hair removal, photofacials, skin rejuvenation, fractional re-surfacing, surgical free skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, removal of vascular lesions and pigmentation.

Palomar Medical was the past winner of the Professional Choice Awards category for lasers and IPL equipment. Lori received clinical certification, education and didactic training with Palomar Medical and has clinical expertise in the application of Intense Pulse Light Treatments. In addition, Lori continues to specialize in non-ablative and ablative fractional laser resurfacing, fractional surgical free skin tightening, photofacial applications for the removal of brown spots and sun damage and the treatment of acne and rosacea. Lori has made this cosmeceutical care her area of specialty expertise. Proficient in Vibraderm treatments to all body areas, Lori has been clinically certified by the manufacturers of the Vibradermabrasion equipment as well.

Since relocating to Charleston with her family, Lori has been an active member of the Carolina Lady Anglers Club, a non profit group who’s Fishing for the Cure for Breast Cancer Tournament makes annual donations to the Charleston Breast Center, the Hollings Cancer Center and other local beneficiaries.

Lori prides herself in having a professional demeanor as well as an outgoing personality that makes patients feel right at home.

Danyiel M. Robinson

Licensed Massage Therapist
Licensed Esthetician

Danyiel joined the DLCC staff in June 2010 as our licensed massage therapist and esthetician. She comes to us from the prestigious Stella Nova Spa in downtown Charleston. Danyiel was born here in Charleston, but grew up in Sumter, SC. She returned to Charleston in 2003 after training in Columbia at the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular & Massage Therapy. Danyiel has a passion for massage and specializes in several different types of massage including therapeutic, sports, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, reflexology and shiatsu.

Danyiel earned her esthetician degree from the Charleston Cosmetology Institute. She specializes in facials, medical peels and vibradermabrasion. Danyel is also trained in makeup application and uses our GloMinerals Makeup line to make her clients look and feel their best.

Danyiel is the proud parent of two sons, Lake and Mason.
