Bill comes to the practice with a diverse background of research and clinical experience ranging from primary care and emergency medicine, to gastroenterology.
Bill completed his undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he earned bachelor degrees in both biology and anthropology. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Bill earned a Masters of Science in Biology at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine, where he later also worked as a clinical research coordinator. It was his time spent at East Carolina where he developed a passion for both clinical medicine as well as research. Bill has co-authored a number of peer reviewed articles that have been published in journals such as, Free Radical Biology and Medicine, The Journal of Clinical Investigation, and Diabetes. He completed his medical education by earning a Masters in Medical Science from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. As a student on clinical rotations, Bill had the opportunity to work with and train under Dr. Schlesinger. It was his time at DLCC that helped steer him toward a career in dermatology.
Originally from North Carolina, Bill now calls Charleston home. In his free time he enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He is also an avid sports fan, with some of his favorite teams including the East Carolina Pirates and the Philadelphia Phillies.
He has a diverse set of clinical and cosmetic dermatologic interests and is excited to be part of the DLCC team.
