Although not a Charlestonian by birth, April was raised in Charleston and has enjoyed living here almost her entire life. Joining DLCC six years ago, she was looking for a new path to put her professional and organizational skills to use. With a strong accounting background and knowing the importance of attention to detail, April was a perfect match for our clinical area. April spends her spare time enjoying a new home with Sonny, and their two beagle pups, Macy and Ella. Both motorcycle enthusiasts, they are often seen riding about on their Harley or spending time with family, friends and neighbors.
Michele recently joined the DLCC team bringing 18 years of professional experience, both clinically and aministratively. As a familiar face here on the hospital campus, she has spent the last 7 years working for an OB/GYN practice. Her compassion and professional demeanor shine in our clinical area. Attending Trident Technical College here in the lowcountry, she received a Certificate of Completion in Medical Coding but prefers the clinical side of the practice. Michele spends much of her spare time with her husband Todd enjoying concerts, Nascar races and relaxing at the beach. She keeps herself busy and enjoys a great sense of wit and fun! As a mother of two, she appreciates her "fun time" and likes to do a little shopping or "just hanging out with friends".
Krystal joined the DLCC gang in July 2011 after completing her medical externship at our office in June - she has proved we made a fantastic decision to keep her on board! Krystal and her family relocated to Charleston from Virginia, where she completed her training and education as a medical assistant. Although new to dermatology, she has adapted tremendously and we see terrific potential! The Clinical Team finds her refreshing as she works with a smile :) and has a positive attitude. One interesting thing we think you might be surprised to know about Krystal? She served four years in the Navy, where she met her husband, Nick. Definitely bringing her military bearing to DLCC, Krystal takes great pride in her appearance and work ethic. Patients genuinely find her helpful and caring. During her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and two kids, Landon and Taylor. You may catch them out at the park on a nice day or a simple walk around the neighborhood.
Brandy is one of the newest members of our DLCC Team, joining us in June 2011. Having been in Goose Creek since she was two she considers herself a true "Carolina Girl". Brandy has been in the medical field for five years and has the caring and happy personality that we all have come to love about her. Every day is a new adventure for her at DLCC and she is "loving every minute of it". Who knew there was so much to learn in dermatology? In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and holds true to them and the values that were taught to her as a child. In the spring and summer she also enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors. Brandy loves taking her dogs to the dog park so they too can exercise and play. Next time you are in stop by and meet Brandy, you will love her just as much as we do.
